Friday Tastings at the BorStore Wine Shop
Most Friday afternoons, we open 4–6 bottles for a relaxed in-store tasting around a changing theme from Hungarian wine, such as grape varieties, regions, winemaker spotlights, or just wines centered around a certain mood or budget.
It’s a casual standing tasting: just a few small sips at our tasting table, not a sit-down event. Wines are open from 3pm, and at 6pm we give a short presentation. We stay open an extra hour until 7pm on these days, feel free to stop by and taste!
In-Store Wine Tasting: Top picks around €10 – Friday, July 11, 3pm-7pm
Great wine doesn’t have to be expensive. We’re pouring a selection of affordable favorites that punch well above their price tag. A perfect intro to some of Hungary’s best everyday wines.
In-Store Wine Tasting: Balaton Favorites – Friday, July 18, 3–7pm
Wines from around Lake Balaton, from laid-back to surprisingly complex. Alongside easy summer whites, we’ll also open some more sophisticated bottles that show the depth the region has to offer.
In-Store Wine Tasting: Rosé, Siller & Chilled Reds – Friday, July 25, 3pm-7pm
Fresh, fun, and perfect for summer – this week is all about lighter styles from red grapes that are easy to love but still full of character. From spicy siller to juicy reds that shine when chilled, this is red and pink wine season at its best.
