Piros Béka (Red Frog) is a small natural winery in the Villány region, run by Mariana and Rudy Proske since 2003. Rudy, originally from Berlin, fell in love with the landscape and wine culture of southern Hungary and started making wine as a hobby. Today, it has grown into a full-time passion.

They farm 1.5 hectares of vines naturally, without pesticides or synthetic treatments. In the cellar, the wines ferment spontaneously with native yeasts and no commercial additives. Aging takes place in used barrique barrels and, since 2020, also in Georgian amphorae.

Piros Béka produces around 6,000 bottles a year. These are handcrafted, low-intervention wines with a softer and more sophisticated style than many Villány contemporaries.
