Mariana and Rudy Proske have been running the “Piros Béka” winery in the Villány wine-growing region in southern Hungary since 2003. They work their vineyards naturally, without using any pesticides. In order to support the expression of the terroir, the wines are fermented spontaneously without the addition of pure yeasts. The wines are aged for 12-15 months in used barrique barrels, since 2020 also in Georgian amphorae. The production is around 6,000 bottles, so it is not a mass product, but a wine made with real passion!
