Gilvesy Pixu Olaszrizling 2022 (Bio)

A juicy wine with a calm, rustic style. 100% organic Olaszrizling (Welshriesling) from volcanic basalt rocks. Hand-harvested, wild fermented and made with natural techniques. Aged for half a year on the lees in large oak barrels and concrete eggs, then bottled unfined and lightly filtered. Calm, balanced style, bright fruit flavors, slightly yeasty notes and a volcanic touch.

About the Gilvesy winery

Founded by wine enthusiast Robert Gilvesy, this is an up-and-coming winery on the slopes of the volcanic hills above the Lake Balaton. Small-scale winemaking with a focus on organic and natural techniques. The rich soils of the vineyards, along with the skill and care that was put into this small winery, mean this is certainly one to watch out for!
