The Homola winery is located in Paloznak, North Balaton, just next to the famous winemaking towns of Csopak and Balatonfüred. It was founded by Szabolcs Homola, who produces a range of juicy, well-crafted wines with his winemaker, Attila Homonna from Tokaj. They use mostly traditional grapes of the area, like Olaszrizling, Furmint and Kékfrankos, but aren’t afraid to experiment with international grape varieties like Chardonnay and Syrah, or to put a new twist on old styles.
The wines are usually refreshing and crisp, true to the traditional style of the area. They are made with great respect for the region’s natural characteristics, using wild yeasts and natural techniques whenever possible.
