“Egri Csillag” (Star of Eger) is the name of Eger’s local white blend, the counterpart of the famous red Bikavér (Bull’s Blood).
Pinot Gris, Olaszrizling, Hárslevelű, Furmint and Sauvignon blanc, all harvested from the Boldogságos vineyard of Eger, fermented (partly with natural yeasts) and aged in oak barrels. The result is a smooth and elegant wine that balances its floral, fruity notes with the softness and elegance of the clay soils and cool climate of its vineyard with finesse.
