The Dzsúz series has a long tradition at Barnag, even if the blend shifts slightly from year to year. The idea stays the same: a fresh, fruit-focused red that is all about drinkability.
Most of it comes from an early harvest of young Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) from the cooler Monoszló area, fermented mostly as whole clusters and partly direct-pressed, in stainless steel and oak. Riper fruit from the warmer Cabernet vineyard in Aszófő fills it out (roughly 70% Kékfrankos, 30% Cabernet). Low in tannin, high in energy, lively and light. Best served lightly chilled and drunk in big, happy gulps.
