Káli Kövek Rezeda Olaszrizling 2023

An elegant Olaszrizling (Welshriesling) selection with a smooth and soft style. A fruity basis layered with notes of herbs, hay and light floral notes that reflect the elegant side of the Káli Basin in North Balaton.

Made from a small batch of selected North Balaton grapes, fermented using natural yeasts and aged with just a minimum of barrel use.

About the Káli Kövek winery

Gyula Szabó, the winemaker at Káli Kövek, took over his grandfather’s small vineyard a couple of years ago to focus on small-scale quality wine production. Paying close attention to the land and the grapes, he produces wines that reflect his passion for honest, artesanal winemaking and purity of style. The Káli Basin, where the winery is located, is a favorite vacation spot of many artists in Hungary. The winery and its garden play an active part in the local culture scene, organizing concerts and events throughout the year.

Most of Gyula’s wines are crisp, balanced white wines made from local grape varieties, with a minerality and liveliness that reflect the rich and diverse volcanic soils of the area.
