An orange wine with a firm, clean, bitter herbal style. Part of the Mérész Sándor Project series, which includes wines that are a little bit more experimental in their style than usual. After the hand-picked grapes were pressed, the wine was fermented on the skins for 14 days, giving the wine its brick-orange color. The wine then spent 10 months maturing in an old 2000-liter Hungarian oak cask and new 300-liter Hungarian barrels, giving it a robust character.
Bright lemon, Szechuan pepper, mandarin and orange notes shine through, with a herbal touch and a subtle aroma of incense and cloves. The palate is lively and bold, featuring orange and grapefruit flavors, a slight saltiness, and a background of almond, finishing with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Pairs great with Asian dishes and spicy food.
