The fkt Olaszrizling highlights the best of the Somló terroir with its harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Citrus fruits, peach and dried herbs dominate the aroma, with flavors of almonds and the notable salty minerality characteristic of Somló appearing on the palate. This wine blends a crisp, vibrant modern style with the region’s traditional intensity. Hand-harvested at the end of November, fermented with natural yeasts and aged for six months in used 1000 and 500-liter Hungarian oak barrels, followed by an additional three months in stainless steel tanks. A lively, modern take on the classic Somló style.
Our tip: To let the aromas fully open up, we suggest you let Somló wines breathe for a while after opening, preferably by decanting them. Giving them some time to unfold will enhance your tasting experience and reveal their true potential.
