Gere Villányi Franc Ördögárok 2022

Attila Gere has been one of the pioneering winemakers in Hungary since the end of communism. He produces a wide range of wines, but focuses primarily on full-bodied red wines from the warm soils of Villány, which are highly praised by critics, and over the years has built his winery into one of the leading ones in the country, growing wine on 70 hectares. He is currently converting the production to organic processes and Attila’s daughter Andi is taking on a steadily growing role in the management of the business. Many other wineries that have achieved prominence in recent years have not been able to keep up with the new trends and new generations of winemaking, but the Gere winery continues to innovate and produce great wines on a consistent basis.
