Bolyki Indián Nyár 2024

“Indián nyár”, or Indian summer, is what Hungarians call the sunny days of late summer, and this wine evokes the memories of those days when the leaves start turning brown. Earthy and warm, full of dark fruit and vanilla, yet not overpowering. Early summer, late summer – it works in any season. A blend of several grape varieties including kékfrankos, portugieser and blauburger. Fermented using natural yeasts and aged in oak barrels.

About the Bolyki winery

János (“Jani”) Bolyki comes from a family with winemaking traditions, but he has completely re-invented winemaking at the family estate. Known for his interesting blends, wacky labels and friendly wines, Jani is a popular figure in the young Hungarian wine scene.

His wines follow the general winemaking style of the region, but somehow, each of his wines have a fresh and lively character that make them feel a world apart from older Eger wines. His wines have a distinctly youthful and modern touch, putting a new twist on Eger’s classic style.
