Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) is the key red variety of our region, valued for its versatility and its clear expression of the Balaton Uplands terroir. This wine comes from two markedly different vineyards: volcanic Hegyestű on the edge of the Káli Basin and limestone-rich Király-domb in Pécsely.
Harvested across three passes from early September to late October. Fermented with whole clusters, some left intact and some foot-stomped, alongside a good proportion of direct-pressed juice. Then aged for two years on the lees in eight small oak barrels. Bottled unfiltered and unfined, with no added SO2. An honest, layered Kékfrankos with real tension.
