Homonna ‘Mumus’ Kékfrankos 2022

A juicy, playful and smooth red wine by Atilla Homonna, made from Kékfrankos grapes on the northern shore of the Lake Balaton. Easy-drinking, with a mellow, deep, thirst-quenching quality, made with minimal human intervention and bottled unfined and unfiltered in one liter bottles. The ‘Füreder’ bottles were formerly used locally to bottle thermal spring water and apple wine; the crown cap means that it’s meant to be enjoyed with friends in one go.

About the Homonna winery

Attila Homonna is a young winemaker based in the sleepy, rustic town of Erdőbénye in Tokaj. Since establishing the winery in 1999, he’s been producing outstanding wines in an elegant, sophisticated style. His wines usually require a bit of patience to open up, but once they do, they grab your attention and don’t let go. Chock-full of flavor, rich yet elegant, using nothing but natural techniques, Homonna’s wines are special in every sense.

Apart from the Tokaj region, Homonna also experiments in other areas, occasionally producing wine with his friends and colleagues around the Lake Balaton, for example.
