An extremely rare example of a dry white wine that has been aged for so long, released after 10 years of ageing and still shining with energy and vigor. The 2006 vintage had extremely low yields, with only six to eight bunches per vine. Harvested in early November from the Holdvölgy vineyard, it was aged for seven months in Hungarian oak before resting in a bottle for almost two decades. The result is a dry Tokaji full of life, with zesty acidity, a stony texture and vibrant citrus and herbal notes. An incredible, unique blend of ripe, aged flavours and astonishing freshness.
Our partner site for Hungarian food specialties: spices and pastes, salami, preserves and sweets from small producers, made to traditional recipes. Everything that belongs on the table next to a good glass of Hungarian wine.
