Bolyki Cabernet Franc 2019

A rich wine with flavors of ripe fruit, dark cherries, spices and incense. Solid and well-crafted, Bolyki’s Cabernet Franc is a bold and incredibly pleasing wine with a long-lasting finish. Made from selected grapes, fermented spontaneously and aged for 12 months in large oak barrels.

About the Bolyki winery

János (“Jani”) Bolyki comes from a family with winemaking traditions, but he has completely re-invented winemaking at the family estate. Known for his interesting blends, wacky labels and friendly wines, Jani is a popular figure in the young Hungarian wine scene. 

His wines follow the general winemaking style of the region, but somehow, each of his wines have a fresh and lively character that make them feel a world apart from older Eger wines. His wines have a distinctly youthful and modern touch, putting a new twist on Eger’s classic style.
