Laposa 4 Hegy Olaszrizling 2023

A classic volcanic Olaszrizling (Welshriesling) from the Balaton Uplands, made from grapes grown on four of the region’s iconic witness hills: Badacsony, Gulács, Csobánc and Köves-hegy. Laposa’s “4 Hegy” brings these sites together into one clear, mineral-driven style.

Medium-bodied with a slightly oily texture, it opens with fresh stone fruit, citrus and a hint of mint. On the palate it’s crisp and salty, with a distinct basalt character and a clean, firm structure. The acidity and minerality are perfectly balanced, making it both refreshing and seriously food-friendly.

About the Laposa winery

The Laposa winery lies on the volcanic hills above the Lake Balaton. The family winery only produces white wines, true to the traditions of the region. The wines are usually rich and firm, with a strong backbone and good acidity from the basalt soils of the Badacsony mountain. In recent years, the founders’ son, Bence, has taken over the operations of the winery.
